“Omorfi poli” means “beautiful town” and Nafplio is most certainly exactly that: a beautiful town full of history, landmarks and lovely old town houses. One of them, a beautiful, soft pink building on the corner of two pedestrian streets, has been turned into a pension with spacious, comfortable rooms and a relaxing café on the street level with outdoor sittings. This is where a generous and tasty breakfast is being served for both hotel guests and visitors at a very reasonable price. The pension which is ideally located opposite the Museum of Popular Art is only a 3’ walk from Nafplio’s main square and stands on a crossroad of pedestrian streets that are full of taverns, artisan shops and cafes. The rooms are very large and ideal for families, while some of them have balconies with views towards Palamidi castle. The relaxing experience is complete by the owner’s kindness and sense of hospitality. To me, “Omorfi Poli” feels like a home away from home!
